Working with Hostile, Uncooperative & Evasive Families
Staff in all agencies may, in the course of their work, come across families who are unwilling to co-operate with professionals when intervention or support is/may be necessary for vulnerable children or young people. This course will help participants consider how to engage with families who are not co-operating, either through hostile, non-engaging behaviour or evasive behaviour.
Target Audience
This course is suitable for all staff who work with children & young people and/or adults who are parents/carers including those who may ,n the course of their work, undertake home visits
Participants will require to have an awareness and understanding of their own agencies child protection policies and procedures. They should also have previously attended a child protection course. i.e. CYPPC Working Together or equivalent.
