Roles & Responsibilities
Purpose
This is a multi-agency course aimed at front line workers who wish to gain a better understanding about multi agency working to protect children & young people from harm and/or abuse.
Target Audience
All staff who work with:- children & young people and/or adults who are parents/carers. Also helpful to all staff who may/do work in a multi disciplinary setting with professionals from other agencies.
Pre-requisite knowledge
Participants will require to have an awareness and understanding of their own agencies child protection policies and procedures and have previously attended an introduction to child protection course or have relevant experience before they apply for this course
Learning Objectives
Participants will be more aware of
- How to respond to concerns about a child/young person.
- How to promote better inter-agency working in order to protect children and young people from harm and/or abuse
- Their professional responsibilities with regard to protecting children/young people
- The importance of clarifying the importance of information recording and collaborative working
