The Committee employs three members of staff. Their remit is to assist the committee in fulfilling its functions (listed on  the 'About the CYPPC' page).

Dawn Doherty is based in the CYPPC office and is responsible for providing admin support. This means that  she looks after the money and does the 1001 different admin jobs that need done in a busy office . Dawn also makes all the arrangements for staff development courses and maintains a database of all those participating in the staff development programmes. .

Sally Anderson is the Staff Development Officer. Sally's job is to work with people from the other agencies to develop the content of staff development programmes. She finds out what's needed and then commissions and provides courses so that those whose are involved, or may be involved, in child protection work have the knowledge and skills to provide the help children, young people and families need when they need it. Sally keeps in touch with colleagues around the country and is aware of and involved in government-led national developments - all to ensure that Dundee stays at the leading edge of staff development initiatives in relation to child protection.

Donald MacKenzie is the Lead Officer. He leads the team and makes sure that he, Sally and Dawn are doing all they should be doing. This is to ensure that the CYPPC fulfils its aims and objectives and role in delivering positive outcomes for children and young people at risk of abuse and neglect. The major focus of Donald's activity is on public awareness, quality assurance, protocols and procedures and the links with other strategic planning structures.
