hand ....training & staff development

The development and delivery of training and staff development is led by the CYPPC's Staff Development Officer. The work of the SDO is supported by a multi-agency staff development forum.

In addition to the development work undertaken exclusively in Dundee, the CYPPC is a partner, with Perth & Kinross and Angus Child Protection Committees, in the Tayside Child Protection Training Consortium. This group commissions programmes that complement local programmes but are delivered on a Tayside-wide basis.

The remit of the Dundee staff development forum is to share, plan, develop and commission learning and development materials and events for all staff who work with children/young people and/or their parent/carers, so that they are able to develop the appropriate skills and knowledge to carry out their roles and responsibilities.

The members of the forum work closely with colleagues within their own agencies to identify the child protection learning and development needs of staff and this information informs the Dundee CYPPC staff development calendar

Please feed any comments or suggestions you have with regard to child protection training through your agency representative on the forum, or directly to the office of the CYPPC at dundeeprotects@dundeecity.gov.uk.

The current members of the forum are:

Sally Anderson CYPPC Staff Development Officer
