Who can attend CCPC course?
These courses are available to people who work with children/young people, and/or are involved in the provision of services to adults who are parents/carers where support for the adult may improve outcomes for children/young people?

Which course should I choose?
You should attend the course(s) that meets your staff development needs. These should be discussed and agreed with your line manager. Please ensure that you are applying for the appropriate course for your needs - a course description is available for all courses.

How do I apply?
In order to apply for any of the courses on offer please contact your training co-ordinator responsible for courses relevant to the care and protection of children/young people [if applicable]. If you/your agency do not have a training co-ordinator please use the Booking Form on the website and return to the CCPC office at the address on the booking form. Please note - Staff DCC SWD must use that department's online course booking system. The CCPC cannot currently accept booking forms directly from DCC SWD staff..

What are the costs?
There are no course fees charged to applicants. Dundee CCPC believes that in order to improve outcomes for children/young people in Dundee, it is important that staff development opportunities should be accessible to all staff that require to enhance their skills and knowledge in aspects relevant to the care and protection of children/young people.
However we would ask that when booking a course you make a commitment to attend unless an urgent situation arises that prevents your attendance as many courses are often oversubscribed. We reserve the right to make a charge of £50 if someone who has been allocated a place on a course fails to turn up on the day.

What if I can't attend?
If you cannot attend please notify us as soon as possible. Although you are not charged for a place there is a cost to the CCPC for all places, and empty course places are a waste of resources. If we are informed as early as possible we may have the opportunity to fill cancelled spaces by offering to others who may be on the waiting list. Information will be given to members of the CCPC about people who do not attend and who do not notify us of their non-attendance in time to allocate the space to someone else.
